Welcome New Teachers!

Most new teachers struggle significantly during their first year.

If you are new to the profession, some useful advice that someone once gave me is to not let someone else's experience define my own. I was told to be myself, first and foremost, and my students would thank me for it.

I made it a point to act on this advice, and it has made all the difference! Students definitely know when you're being genuine or not.

The links below are made to help you get off to a great start, and review some excellent tips from the American Federation of Teachers website.

Read through these short links, and don't forget to check out the Teacher's Room page of this site for more great tips and ideas from other teachers.
